Claire smiled and waved to me when I walked in to see her. She was sitting on her Gaga's lap watching a Baby Einstein and holding her Horton Hoo. If you ask Claire what an elephant says, she will hold her arm up imitating an elephant trunk. Needless to say, she thinks her stuffed elephant should do the same when she holds up his trunk. It was a very quick visit because Dr.Kanter came in for an update and she is ready to be discharged. We will stay in DC one more night to make sure she is ready to venture home.

Bed in Summer
In winter I get up at night
And dress by yellow candlelight.
In summer quite the other way
I have to go to bed by day.
I have to go to bed and see
The birds still hopping on the tree,
Or hear the grown-up peoples’ feet
Still going past me on the street.
And does it not seem strange to you
When all the sky is clear and blue
And I should like so much to play
To have to go to bed by day.
